Lion Park offers the best opportunity to experience a safari safely, without compromising the raw beauty of African wilderness. View up close and interact with many of Africa’s large predators and herbivores. The Park really lives up to its name, serving as a sanctuary to 80 lions including species such as the rare white lion and other carnivores like the cheetah, and several types of hyena. What type of activities can you do at Lion Park? Take your car through a self-drive across the Main Park. An easy to follow self-guided route is available, allowing you to really see antelopes, hyenas, cheetahs, and lions up close.
A Guided Game Drive lets you catch a ride on one of the safari vehicles with a private tour guide, who will explain all the ins and outs of the wildlife you are witnessing. Cub World and Cub Interaction is a favorite among kids and adults. Trained personnel allow visitors to play with lion cubs, take photos, and experience this amazing interaction with nature. The Giraffe Feeding platform allows guests to see these loving animals eye-to-eye, literally! Pet them and feed them! School excursions are available upon request.
Hungry? Grab a bite on Sundays and holidays at their famous self-service Boma Braai Buffet. Accommodations are available on the premises, with semi-luxurious tens that offer an ultra comfortable camping experience. Rates for the Self-Drive tour cost R100 (around $14.00) per adult and R70 ($10.00) around $ for kids 4 – 12.
