Pronounced Shy Shy and named after the Mozambique resort north of Maputo so beloved of South Africans, this comfy and casual bar offers a good selection of drinks and African and Portuguese dishes. Owners Karla Krischker and Chris du Plessis have done a great job of fully creating this innovative concept.
The eclectic mix of guests range from local artists, intellectuals, bohemians, locals, and backpackers. Specials include the Xai-Xai Basket with 2 chicken wings and chips, 4 prawn cakes, and 2 queen prawns for around R59 ($8.00). Cocktails average around R25 ($3.50). Remember that if you have a group over 6 people it�s necessary to book ahead.
